About FinLe
Last updated 30 July 2026
FinLe teaches children aged 9–16 how money actually works — budgeting, digital banking, staying safe online, saving and investing — in five-minute, gamified lessons led by Penny the Coin.
Why we built it
Most children leave school without ever being taught how a bank account, a credit score or a scam text actually works. FinLe fills that gap with short, playful lessons that fit into a school night, with a parent dashboard so families can talk about money together.
What we teach
- Money Basics — Coins, notes, needs vs wants and saving sensibly.
- Digital Money — Debit cards, contactless and mobile banking made easy.
- Smart Budgeting — Pocket money, goals and tracking your spending.
- Staying Safe Online — Spot scams, build strong passwords and protect privacy.
- Investing & Enterprise — Risk vs reward and your first business idea.
- Future of FinTech — AI in banking, crypto basics and FinTech careers.
How we treat children’s data
No advertising, no behavioural tracking, no in-app purchases and no chat between users. Accounts are held by a parent or guardian, leaderboards are off by default and only ever show a nickname, and parents can download or delete everything in one tap. The detail is in our privacy policy, and there is a version written for children too.
For schools
Schools can run FinLe with a class, follow pupil progress and message parents securely. Email us and we will set you up.
