Terms of use

Last updated 30 July 2026

These terms cover your use of the FinLe app at finle.uk. By creating an account or using FinLe you agree to them.

1. Who can use FinLe

FinLe accounts are held by adults. You must be 18 or over and the parent or legal guardian of any child profile you create. Children use FinLe through a profile inside their parent’s account — they do not have their own login. If you are a school, accounts are held by a member of staff acting for the school.

2. Your account

Keep your password to yourself and let us know at hello@finle.uk if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what child profiles do inside it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Enter a child’s full name, address, school name or any other identifying detail.
  • Use nicknames that are offensive, impersonate someone else, or contain personal information.
  • Try to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to FinLe.
  • Use FinLe to send anyone unwanted or misleading messages, including through referrals.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules, and we will always try to tell you why.

4. Education, not financial advice

FinLe teaches general money, banking, saving, investing and online-safety concepts for learning purposes. It is not financial advice and must not be relied on when making real financial decisions. Any figures, credit-score indicators, or investment examples in the app are illustrative and simulated. Always seek advice from a qualified professional before acting.

5. Leaderboards and rewards

Leaderboard participation is off by default and can be switched on or off by the parent at any time. XP, badges, streaks and certificates have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for anything, and may be recalculated if we find an error or misuse.

6. School accounts

Where a school uses FinLe, staff may view the progress of pupils in their own school’s classes and message those pupils’ parents. Schools must have a lawful basis for using FinLe with their pupils and must follow their own safeguarding and data-protection policies. Parents can leave a class at any time.

7. Availability

FinLe is currently free for families. We aim to keep it available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, pause or withdraw features. If we plan to withdraw the service we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

8. Our content

The lessons, artwork, Penny the Coin and the FinLe name belong to us. You may use them for your family’s own learning, and schools may use them in the classroom. You may not republish, resell or redistribute them.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, and because FinLe is provided free of charge, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any financial decision made on the basis of the educational content.

10. Ending your use

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Parents page. You can also email hello@finle.uk and we will do it for you.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
